Michael P. Wistar founded Wistar Equipment, Inc. on the simple idea that genuine customer service was the key to customer satisfaction.

Mike believed that if you make realistic promises, and consistently keep them, that customers would eventually learn to trust your word, and trust you with their business. Sure, competitors would make the same promises, because talk is cheap. But, in time, customers would realize that many of those covenants would never be kept.

Along with the help and support of his wife Carol, and his three young sons, Mike opened Wistar Equipment, Inc. for business in September of 1983. From that start in a rented 15'x30' space, Wistar has outgrown several South Jersey locations and now occupies a 65,000 square foot, state of the art facility, along the Delaware River, in Carney's Point, New Jersey.

Today, Wistar Equipment is situated perfectly to serve the New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and Northern Maryland markets.

Wistar’s fleet of modern delivery and service vehicles, driven by experienced professionals, means that when you trust Wistar with your business, you will get more than just a delivery.

Mike Wistar passed in May of 2010 at the age of 67, and took with him a brilliant mechanical mind and unique personality, as well as 50 years of valuable experience. But, his three sons, Mick, Scott and Dan inherited Mike’s passion and commitment for taking Wistar Equipment to an even higher level.
